There is no point lying,I was really liking him maybe because I had a soft spot(what a word) for him in the first place. But then no thanks to Miguel and diamond: they finished me. Desola, you just cracked me up and I actually felt like crawling into a corner ki n de raise up my hands with my eyes closed. I love you guys for all your wonderful comments.
I am not going to Norway with him. We talked at length yesterday. As Taurean Minx said, he needs to sort out himself with his babe of 7 years. I told him that I don't want anybody pouring acid on my beautiful face.
Yeah, I was telling you about Wale my crush abi? My friend went back to Maiduguri where he was doing his NYSC and his brother still calls me once in a while to ''try his luck''.
Then out of the blues, one afternoon I was checkingmy emails in my room when my phone rang and it was a private number calling me. I am always on my best pitch with private numbers cos it could be anyone and I always want to try and sound ''tush''.
Temmy: hello (with a calculated tone of voice)
Wale: hey, how are you. This is Wale.
Temmy: Wale? (honestly I didn't think it could be him).
Wale: yeah. D's friend.
I think I actually dropped the phone at this point. My heart was begininning to beat fast. So D gave him my number. Abi the guy really likes me too ni? Meanwhile the boy was talking but I did not hear half of what he said my mind was in total turmoil.
He came to pick me from work one friday afternoon and there we clicked and became good friends.After 3 months he asked me out but I couldn't accept cos of Ex. He knew about Ex all the while but he was always praying that Ex will mess up.
If an angel had come down from heaven then to tell me that Ex will mess things up I woulda gone into a big argument with the angel o. I was that smitten about him.
Wale and I became so close that at a point my mum had to wake me up in the middle of the night to confirm if I was still with Ex.
Time was 1am
Mum: temmy,oro pataki ni mo fe so fun e yi.(very impt discussion).
Temmy: (still feeling sleepy) yes mummy.
Mum: it is about you and Ex, I have noticed that wale boy is always calling and coming to take you out. I hope you are not planning to leave Ex for him.
Temmy: haba,mama temmy!. That is not going to happen. He is just a very close friend.
Mum: o better o, because emi o ni mo oko omo ki n tu mo ale e o. ( I won't know my daughter's husband and know the concubine as well).
Temmy: yes ma, but remember that I never marry the boy sha. This one about ale(concubine) pass me.
Mum: na u know o.Foolish girl.
Temmy: goodnite mummy. Turned my back and quickly went to sleep.
That my mama likes wahala, imagine waking me up in the middle of that night for her ''pep talk''.
Wale still remains a close friend till date. Crush faded long before I left Nigeria.

My Crush(es) and I
How was my weekend? Good and boring. Did what i love doing most:shopping. I left my house with the plans of buying just a pair of boots and winter coat. Trust me to always go out of budget, i ended up buying the coat and the boots, a pair of jeans and 6 tops. What will i do about this bad habit of mine, i need help o please and fast too. Sometimes, i wonder what i want to do with all the shoes, bags and all other things. Trust my father in heaven to always do things in mysterious ways, when i got to church on sunday and i was picking out the word for the day.I picked ''lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths will not destroy''. Food for thought......
Lately, all my single male friends have been making moves on me. I have been enjoying the attention but then there is one that i am beginning to like sooo much. There is a snag tho, he is in a relationship. Ok, the story is he has been in a relationship for like 7 years now and the 2 of them have serious problems. We were always talking about it and then i normally give my own candid advise.

Now, i called my sister and i gave the full details. She did not even allow me to finish my story before she said, you have to go o. You can't kill yourself because a man cheated on you. Go out and have fun, enjoy your life.
Is going to Norway with a man that has a girlfriend a good idea even though he is a good friend and of cos i am too sure ''nothing'' will happen?
Is that a good way/idea of having fun?

And then my crush came to town. I am very sure at some point in our beautiful lives, we have had a terrible crush on some guy/chic.
I had a crush on Laolu during my primary school days, i can remember that he used to sit two desks away from mine and i always stole glances at him then. The boy was really cute, then in our primary 5 days, he had a car accident and he was taken out of the country for treatment. The way i cried the day our class teacher said Laolu was involved in an accident, you would think he was my blood brother.
3 months later he was back in school with a limp by then the crush was growing out of hand but thank God i left for secondary school in primary 5, if not maybe i woulda asked the boy out. Not that i get that kind liver then o but who knows?
In secondary shool, i did not have any crush cum mirinda on any guy till i was in S.S 2, and for no one else but my friend's boy friend! Me sef.....
Thank God that the guy left for another school, but today we are very good friends. I am sure he suspects me sometimes sha cos i was extra nice to him way back..
Then i met Ex when i was in my final year in Uni. No one before him but i had another crush after him. Chei, his name is Wale(thank God wale plenty for this world). I met him one bright and beautiful evening.
This is the story, i was posted to Yobe State for my NYSC after the 3 weeks orientation i was redeployed to Abuja. Ex then was posted to Akwa Ibom State, we did everything possible to get him redeployed to Abuja but it wasnt possible.
There was this friend of mine that desperatley wanted to hook me up with his brother, but then the brother is married and has his wife and kid in america. He thought i'd never found out as he had none of their pictures in his house. His apartment is just a perfect bachelor pad that any girl would have belived he really was single.
That fateful day, he came to the house with his younger brother(my friend) to take me out, unfortunately it was my turn to cook dinner for my dad and i coudnt go out. They decided to wait till i finished my chores(men, when they are looking for something...)2 hours, they sat in the car outside my house. I joined them later and was talking to my ''toaster''. Then i noticed there was this guy in front of the car that wasnt talking to anyone, wetin concern me i no give am face. We were about leaving to go and buy ice cream and my ''toaster'' told wale to come and sit at the back as ''madam'' has to sit in front.
Then i saw him very well,tall dark and handsome. Isnt that how they all come? He mumbled hi to me and men i was smitten!!!
We got the ice cream and we dropped him off to pick up his car at my ''toaster's,'' house. This was the converstaion i had with my friend that nite:
Temmy: abeg who be dat guy?
Friend: wale now, he is doing NYSC as well. He was my mate in Uni.
Temmy:uhmn, na wa o. The guy fine sha.
Friend: are you telling me, he knows.
Temmy: when next will you bring him to my house?
Friend: are you mad?
Temmy: you have a dirty mind, i just want to be his friend now.
Friend:ok, no be me go introduce you to a man. When i want you to hook up with my brother.
Temmy: you are the crazy one here, don't you know i have a boyfriend? Ok, forget it sha. The guy is just really cute.
Friend: yeah, yeah.
After they dropped me off, i couldnt help fantasizing about the guy. Chineke, i quickly picked my phone and i called Ex, telling him how much i love and miss him. I couldnt believe i found someone else attractive.
I shall continue the story some other time. I have pains, the time of a woman is upon me.

Week has been splendid.It has been work, work and work. I am going shopping this weekend, i need some kind of retail therapy jare. Like my sister always says, why do you work if you can't spend the money you make from it. Thief thief, she says that to justify her excessive spendings when her mama starts to shout. Let me give you one of their fav lines.
Mom: bola, this your bag is really nice.
Sis: I know mummy.(note, no thank you. She knows what is coming next).
Mom:Where did you get it from.
Sis: A Shop mummy.(It is either Gucci Or Fendi her mouth don tear ehn, that my sister).
Mom: (voice rising) i know its from a shop, would you have nicked it in the first place. You are too frivolous, apa ni e. Spending soo much on one bag, is that how you will be spending your husband's money? If i spent your father's money like that, do you think there will be enough to take care of you and the rest...... story don start be that o.
Fast forward to two weeks later;
Mom: bola
Sis: yes mummy:
Mom: can i take that your new brown bag out, i need to go and see mama tinuke in some hours.
Sis: why not, mummy. I hope it is not the same one you abused me for 5 hoursover sha. (running away from mummy now, cos if she no dey careful she go chop knock for her head).
That is a typical scenario in my house once you buy anything new. Thank God we are all away from her now. Miss her terribly tho. Guess i have to write a blog on my mother very soon. Sweet woman.

Weekend of drama
Had a lovely weekend. I have learnt something new: thou shall not go shopping with my sister and sister-in-law again. We walked the whole of west end like walking was going out of fashion. Wicked souls, they did not allow me eat till about 6pm when i was about to faint from hunger. After my nearly 8 hours of waka-bout i only bought 3 shirts from TM. Imagine o. The only thing that made my weekend lovely was X-Factor jare.
Shey i said EX was in town abi. His father came in on sunday and called me that we have to ''talk''. Talk ke? About? For? Anyways, i went to see him on sunday evening and we had a long one. He told me that he doesnt want to know what O.A did but that he is apologising on his behalf.
He said and i quote '' Temmy, i shouldnt sit you down to involve myself in your relationship with my son. But you are like a daughter to me as well, you have been wonderful in your own ways to my family. I got to love you so much for my son when my wife passed away. You were like a rock behind him cos he was nearly cracking up that time.'' Daddy, i am sorry to interrupt you sir but did he tell you that he actually cheated onme? He did not tell me what he did my dear, he just said i should talk to you and REALLY BEG YOU.
I told his dad not to bother himself as we will both sort ourselves out. I left his hotel some few hours later with a token of £300 to pick a cab. Emi ke, na jump i jump on the tube to my house. Bijou, contact me for your share as per my sister level.
Yesterday night, O.A and I were trying to ''talk'' but we ended up having a nasty argument. I cant even remember what i said that made him flip.
My phone is ringing that is my momma on the phone. It is time for early morning prayers. Take care all.

I have learnt......
I have learnt that the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.
I have learnt that when you are in love, you glow and it shows.
I have learnt that just one person saying to me ''you've made my day! makes my day.
I have learnt that being kind is more important than being right.
I have learnt that I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help them in some other way.
I have learnt that no matter how serious life requires me to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.
I have learnt that sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and heart to understand.
I have learnt that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end the faster it goes.
I have learnt to be glad God doesnt give us everything we ask for.
I have learnt that money doesnt buy class. True, so very true.
I have learnt that under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
I have learnt that the Lord didn't do all in one day. What makes me think i can?
I have learnt that to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I also learnt that when you plan to get even with someone , you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
I have learnt that love, not time heals all wounds. So i am planning to fall in love again.
I have learnt that the easiest way for me to grow as a personis to surround myself with people smarter than i am . A big thanks to all my blogger friends.LOL.
I have learnt that life is tough but i am tougher.
I have learnt that opportunities are never lost, someone will take the ones you miss.
I have learnt that when you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock somewhere else.
I h ave learnt that one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
I have learnt that i can't choose how i feel but i can choose what i do about it.
Above all, i learnt that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you are climbing it.

Weekend was ace. I slept, wacthed movies and went to church. I have not worn a skirt in ages, so i decided to try my luck on sunday and was it bunzz? You need see how sexy i looked and to make my day everyone in church said i was looking beautiful. There was this guy sitting right in the pew opposite me and he kept looking at me. Well, we were both looking to be honest. Aftrer the service on our way out, na in i see say the guy dey wear wedding band! Pity!.
What else did i do o? nothing much. I have stopped drinking coke, now it is Supermalt and noodles. Between Friday nite and this morning, i have finished 6 bottles. I need to see a doctor next weekend to compalin about my new found way of life. For all you know, every problem in the UK has a name. Cant wait for the doctors to give this one a name as well.
Well, i also spoke to Ex on saturday night. We both decided that it is better he stays in a bed and breakfast as i will be away in Leeds. Me, i wont lie to myself. I am still very much crazy about him but the fact remains that i can not get it out of my head that he cheated on me. And for that reason i can not an will not take him back. Meanwhile, he asked me what he can do to make me come back to him. Simple thing i said.
Him: oro e ti su mi, woman.
Moi: man, ma je ko su e o.
Him: what is it that you think i can do to change your mind?
Moi: simple,you can walk from Abuja to Lokoja with a placard saying'' I LOVE TEMMY''.
Him: be serious now.
Moi: i am serious.
Him: i mean seriouslywhat...........
Moi: lets start with me having an affair with your best friend. Just for 2 weeks.
Him: are u crazy?
Moi: were u crazy before you asked the other girl out?
Him:but...erm....
Moi: no buts, we go talk later. I wan crash o my dear. Sleep tight.
Teva:You better start saving for my wedding. I have started 1 week dry fasting For God to bring Mr Right very soon.
Not 2 ways, Bijou is Chief Brides' Maid once Mr right shows face.
Wedding planner(s) Belle and Mosaic. With the number of weddings they have been to, i think they are the perfect candidate.

And hey, my pastor said on Sunday that we can shape our destiny with our tongue. Always endeavour to say something positive about your job, your family, your body, your finances, your relationship and whatever.
